SisterReach, founded October 2011, is a Memphis, TN based grassroots 501c3 non-profit supporting the reproductive autonomy of women and girls of color, poor women, rural women, gender non-conforming people and their families through the framework of Reproductive Justice. SisterReach is seeking a highly-motivated, experienced, and passionate Reproductive Justice (RJ) advocate to join our rapidly growing team.
The Program Director will work to embody and forward SisterReach’s mission of empowering, organizing and mobilizing women, girls, gender non-conforming people most marginalized in Memphis and communities throughout the state of Tennessee around reproductive and sexual health and rights through the human rights framework of Reproductive Justice (RJ). The position is full-time (40 hours weekly). Position reports to the CEO.
The Program Director will oversee the planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of SisterReach’s Education, Inter-Faith, Policy and Research programming, and Communications work. The Program Director is an integral part of developing the leadership and programmatic focuses of SisterReach.
The Program Director will work closely with the CEO and executive management to sustain and further the vision and mission of the organization. The successful applicant will have a background in non-profit management, human rights, women’s rights and/or Reproductive Justice, Health,or Rights, will be expected to demonstrate excellent verbal and writing skills as well as competency in team-building, public speaking, communications, program coordination, coalition-building, community organizing, outreach,fundraising, voter engagement, training, volunteer recruitment, event planning and social media.
