A new law that looks to penalize moms who use drugs while being pregnant is stirring up controversy.

Governor Bill Haslam signed that bill into law Tuesday.

The law has many opponents including Rebekah Fetzer, who works as the executive director of Susannah’s House.

The house, which is located off Dameron Avenue in northwest Knoxville, will open in June. The Cokesbury Church managed facility will give drug addicted women the tools they need to start the recovery process.
