The 88 Percent

Ms. Magazine posted the story “The 88 Percent”.

The history of reproductive health, rights, and justice in America includes the Supreme Court ruling in the case of Griswold v. Connecticut nearly five decades ago, in which Supreme Court Justices upheld the constitutional right of privacy for married couples to make personal decisions about using contraception. In Ms. Magazine, Sarah R. Boonin explains the case “ushered in a new era of women’s control over their bodies and transformed women’s ability to participate more equally in nondomestic spheres.” The Supreme Court’s Burwell v. Hobby Lobby decision in June threatens this constitutional right and provides a “terrifying glimpse into the majority’s hostility toward…the right to contraception.”
